Itinerary

CLASSIC SCOTLAND

 

Day 1 | Edinburgh Area

Arrive at the airport where you will be met by your driver for your transfer to Edinburgh. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Overnight – Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh

 

Day 2 | Edinburgh

Day at leisure to explore Edinburgh independently.

Overnight – Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh

 

Day 3 | Falkirk & Stirling

This morning your driver will collect you from the hotel. Departing Edinburgh, the first stop of the day is the spectacular Falkirk Wheel. Continue then to Stirling, where you can visit Stirling Castle. 

Overnight – Gleneagles Hotel, Perthshire

 

Day 4 | Perthshire & Speyside

After a leisurely breakfast, depart Gleneagles and travel into the heart of Perthshire. You can stop to visit Blair Castle. Visit the Dalwhinnie Distillery and learn how Scotland’s National drink is made; of course, you will also be able to taste a wee dram.

Overnight – Culloden House, Inverness

 

Day 5 | Northern Highlands

First stop today is Dunrobin Castle and Garden, magnificently set in a great park overlooking the sea, where guests can enjoy a falconry display in the castle grounds. Continue north to the Timespan Heritage Centre, before returning to Inverness.

Day 6 | Loch Ness

Today travel south via Loch Ness. Make a stop at Urquhart Castle, a very scenic spot and also the place where the most sightings of “Nessie” have been. Continue towards Fort William, which nestles beneath the highest mountain in Great Britain – Ben Nevis.

Overnight – Glencoe House, Glencoe

 

Day 7 | The Trossachs

Departing Glencoe, travel through the Trossachs National Park, Callander & Aberfoyle. Visit the Scottish Wool Centre where you can see a sheep dog display. Continue south to Glengoyne Distillery, Scotland’s most southerly Highland distillery and the closest to Glasgow.

Overnight – Cameron House, Loch Lomond

 

Day 8 | Departure

Sadly, it’s time to leave Scotland. After a delicious breakfast, your driver will transfer you back to the airport to join your flight home.
