Itinerary

CHAUFFEUR SCOTLAND

Day 1 - Arrival | Edinburgh Area

Arrive at Glasgow or Edinburgh Airport where you will be met by your driver for your private transfer. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Overnight – The Scotsman Hotel, Edinburgh

Day 2 | Edinburgh - Fife - St. Andrews

After breakfast, you will be met by your driver at your hotel and will head north crossing the Forth Road Bridge. Travel through the quaint fishing villages of the East Neuk of Fife and you will travel back through time. Crail, Anstruther, Pittenweem, St Monans, Largo, and Elie, place names as picturesque as the villages themselves. Continue in to St. Andrews to your accommodation.

Overnight – Macdonald Rusacks Hotel, St. Andrews

Day 3 | St. Andrews

Enjoy a full day in St Andrews, home of the oldest university in Scotland. This town is the capital of golf with its famous and prestigious Old Course. You will also visit the 13th century St Andrews Castle overlooking the North Sea, where, during the Reformation, many evil deeds took place in the “Bottle Dungeon”.

Overnight – Macdonald Rusacks Hotel, St. Andrews

Day 4 | Perthshire & Speyside

After a leisurely breakfast, depart St Andrews and travel into the heart of Perthshire. Just north of the highland town of Pitlochry, you can stop to visit Blair Castle, a white turreted  aronial castle, the traditional seat of the Dukes and Earls of Atholl. Continuing through the stunning scenery of the Cairngorms National Park, a visit to Speyside would not be complete without a visit to a Whisky Distillery. Just north of Aviemore, you can visit the Dalwhinnie Distillery and learn how Scotland’s National drink is made.

Overnight – Culloden House, Inverness

Day 5 | Inverness - Loch Ness - Glencoe

Today travel south again going via Loch Ness. Make a stop at Urquhart Castle, a very scenic spot and also the place where the most sightings of “Nessie” have been. Continue towards Fort William, which nestles beneath the highest mountain in Great Britain – Ben Nevis. From Fort William, continue south through Glencoe, the dramatic and historic glen.

Overnight – Ardanaiseig Hotel, Argyll

Day 6 | Argyll

Today enjoy a full day exploring the Argyll region. You will head to Oban, where there are spectacular viewpoints around the town. Why not hop on a boat trip and enjoy stunning views of Castle Stalker, Duart and Gylen.

Overnight – Ardanaiseig Hotel, Argyll

Day 7 | Loch Lomond - The Trossachs National Park

This morning you will travel through the Trossachs National Park. Stop in Killin to see the standing stones, and continue through the typical lowland towns of Callander & Aberfoyle. Continue south to Glengoyne Distillery, first licensed in 1833 and is Scotland’s most southerly Highland distillery and the closest to Glasgow.

Overnight – Blythswood Square, Glasgow

Day 8 | Departure

Sadly, it’s time to leave Scotland. After a delicious breakfast, your driver will transfer you back to Glasgow/Edinburgh airport to join your flight home.
