Itinerary

Day 1 - Friday | Glasgow

From Glasgow Airport, we depart for a panoramic city tour of Glasgow. After returning to the hotel, a welcome drink before dinner.

Dinner/Overnight – Menzies Hotel, Glasgow

 

Day 2 - Saturday | Stirling & Bannockburn

After breakfast we depart for Stirling, where you will visit Stirling Castle, magnificent both in its situation on a commanding rocky outcrop and in its architecture. Later, a visit to Bannockburn, site of the famous battle 700 years ago.

Overnight – Menzies Hotel, Glasgow

 

Day 3 - Sunday | Burns Country

Depart for Ayrshire, where the first stop of the day is Culzean Castle. Culzean is surronded by surging seas, lush forests and secret gardens. Later, continue to Rabbie Burns Country and the Burns National Heritage Park. The museum is the focal point of this beautifully landscaped park where visitors can cross Brig O'Doon and visit the poet's birthplace.

Day 4 - Monday | Loch Ness & Inverness

Depart Glasgow for Inverness travelling along Scotland's West Coast and Loch Ness. Highlights of the day include Loch Lomond, dramatic Glencoe, a visit to Urquhart Castle and a cruise on Loch Ness in search of Nessie, the Loch Ness monster.

Day 5 - Tuesday | Dunrobin Castle & Culloden Moor

In the morning we head north to Dunrobin Castle, where an exciting falconry display will take place on the castle grounds.  Next, a visit to Culloden Moor, where the forces of Bonnie Prince Charlie were defeated.

Dinner/Overnight – Kingsmills Hotel, Inverness

 

Day 6 - Wednesday | Kincraig & Speyside

First stop of the day is at Kincraig for an impressive display from the Working Sheepdogs. Continue though Speyside, onto Perthshire for a visit to Scotland's smallest distillery - Edradour.

Overnight – Hilton, Dunkeld

 

Day 7 - Thursday | St. Andrews & Edinburgh

Depart Perthshire for Edinburgh via the Kingdom of Fife. You will stop at St. Andrews, home of Scotland's oldest University and capital of golf. You will have time to explore this charming royal burgh which retains many historic sites. You will leave St. Andrew's after lunch and head to Edinburgh, where you will have spare time to explore Scotland's capital.

Day 8 - Friday | Edinburgh

After breakfast there is a panoramic city tour of Edinburgh which features the "New" and "Old" town, the historic Royal Mile and a visit to the world famous Edinburgh Castle. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. This evening you will attend a traditional Scotish evening with entertainment and dinner.

Day 9 - Saturday | Edinburgh

After breakfast, a full day to see the sights on your own. A city of contrasts; from the medieval Old Town whose backbone is the Royal Mile, to the 18th Century Georgian New Town with its wide, tree lined streets and elegant squares.

Day 10 - Sunday | Back Home

Your tour ends this morning after a hearty Scottish breakfast and a transfer back to Glasgow Airport.
