Castle Adventure

Day 1 | Edinburgh

Upon arrival, collect your rental car and travel to your hotel in the Edinburgh area.

Overnight – Dalhousie Castle, Edinburgh

 

Day 2 | Perthshire

Head north to Perth, where you can visit Scone Palace, the family home of the Earl of Mansfield and also the site of the famous coronation Stone of Scone.

Overnight – Ballathie House Hotel, Perth

 

Day 3 | Perthshire

Travel to Glamis Castle, famous for being the childhood home of Queen Elizabeth. Travel on to Dundee where you can visit the “Royal Research Ship Discovery”.

Overnight – Ballathie House Hotel, Perth

 

Day 4 | Pitlochry & Inverness

Travel North to Pitlochry, a small Highland town. You will take the very scenic and dramatic road over the Drummochter Pass and descend into Speyside, an area of Scotland famous for its whisky producing tradition.

Overnight – Tulloch Castle, Inverness

 

Day 5 | Scottish Highlands

Head for the Kessock Bridge and the Black Isle. Continue north visiting Dunrobin Castle and Gardens bringing to life the lives through the centuries of the Earls of Sutherland.

Overnight – Tulloch Castle, Superior Room, Inverness

 

Day 6 | Loch Ness

Today travel south via Loch Ness. Make a stop at Urquhart Castle, where the most sightings of “Nessie” have been. Continue towards Fort William.

Overnight – Inverlochy Castle, Fort William

 

Day 7 | Oban

Today depart south to Oban passing through the Brander Pass, through mysterious Rannoch Moor and into the heart of the Trossachs, known as the “gateway to the Highlands”.

Overnight – Cameron House, Loch Lomond

 

Day 8 | Home

Sadly, it’s time to leave Scotland. Travel to Edinburgh/Glasgow airport to leave your car and join your flight home.
