Day 1 | Arrive in Edinburgh

As one of Europe’s must see destinations Edinburgh offers great museums and art galleries, fantastic shopping, great restaurants and bars and one of the most unforgettable skylines with Edinburgh Castle dominating the centre of the city.    

Overnight – The George Hotel Edinburgh

 

Day 2 | Edinburgh

Enjoy a full day discovering Edinburgh. Start with the Royal Mile and continue down to Holyrood Palace, the official residence of the Queen whilst she is in Scotland.

Day 3 | Speyside

Head north crossing the Forth Road Bridge and continuing north visit Perth and Scone Palace, to Pitlochry. Descend into Speyside -an area of Scotland famous for its whisky producing tradition. Follow the Whisky Trail & visit one of the many famous distilleries in the area. 

Overnight – Culloden House, Inverness

 

Day 4 | Inverness

Enjoy a day visiting the West Coast of Scotland. Journey across to Ullapool, a quaint fishing village. Return through the magnificent scenery of the Torridon area and past Loch Maree. Return to the Inverness area.

Day 5 | Loch Ness & Skye

Today travel south via Loch Ness. Make a stop at Urquhart Castle, a very scenic spot and also the place where the most sightings of “Nessie” have been. Continue, stopping briefly at Eilean Donan Castle. 

Overnight – Duisdale Country House, Skye

 

Day 6 | Isle of Skye

Skye is renowned for its natural beauty, history and wildlife. The Isle of Skye is the largest and best known of the Inner Hebrides, an island group off the West coast of Mainland Scotland. Stop in Portree, the principal town of the Isle of Skye, with a sheltered harbour and small but bustling centre.

Day 7 | Oban

Travel South towards Oban then spend some time in Kilmartin Glen experiencing the Neolithic and Bronze Age chambered and round cairns, stone circles and rock carvings. Continue south to Cameron House where you can enjoy the spa facilities.         

Overnight – Cameron House, Loch Lomond

 

Day 8 | Home

Sadly, it’s time to leave Scotland. Travel to Edinburgh/Glasgow airport to leave your car and join your flight home.
